What Are Your Fashion Fears?
There are two things I tend to avoid when choosing what to wear: showing my arms and wearing shorts. It is 2017 and I needed to let go of these two fears. Dia & Co has shone a light on the darkness brought about whenever I see sleeveless clothing or high rise shorts. I can now say my wardrobe is open to a larger selection and I have conquered all my fashion fears!
Loving yourself doesn’t mean that you are 100% comfortable with yourself all the time. Showing my juicy arms has been an issue for as long as I can remember.
When I was younger, I was embarrassed about my stretch marks (mostly visible on my arms). Everyone has stretch marks though, so that issue quickly went to the wayside. As I got older, my discomfort with my arms was attributed to my desire to wanting leaner looking arms. This left me covering up my arms for way too long.
BUT…I have ONE life to live in ONE body. If I won’t love and appreciate all of ME….Who will?
Instead of worrying about how juicy my arms are, I can focus on styling them and showing off my fabulous tattoos!
When it comes to shorts, I have always struggled with them riding up and causing chub rub. Generally, I was just not comfortable showing off my legs. So what did I do? Avoid wearing shorts for MOST of my life. Did I really want to avoid wearing shorts for the rest of my life? Absolutely Not!
What did Dia & Co make me realize? Finding shorts that actually works comes down to the material, fit, and proper size.
In my Dia & Co look, I felt stylish and free. I wasn’t nervous or uncomfortable at all. Instead, I was ready to have fun in the sun without worrying about how my legs looked at all.
I was even more excited I got these cute shorts in TWO colors!
When discussing fashion it is important to talk about what we love and what we don’t love – especially when it comes to our bodies.
The body positivity movement is something we ALL can benefit from no matter our size. I am so thankful that Dia & Co has collaborated with me to conquer these fashion fears that have plagued me for far too long!
