Who Are the Key Players In Your Life?

If life was a game of chess, who would be the key players in your life? 

Do you ever take the time to think about who is in your life? If not, I dare you to take the time to really think about WHO surrounds you and WHY? For me, I am fortunate to say that I am VERY specific about the people I spend time with. I will not provide names. BUT…I want to go through the key 6 people you should have in your life. After reading this, I want you to share with me if you have these same 6 people in YOUR life! 

#1 THE MENTOR

Recently, I was asked in an interview who was my mentor? I am proud to say mentorship comes in many forms in my life. Whether it is from my dad, my business partner, my husband, or long time friends who are wise beyond their years; it is my life motto to meet a new person or learn something new every day. My mentorship has many faces. However, I make sure that I am spending time with people where we can both teach each other something and it isn’t a one-way street. 

#2 THE LOL FRIEND

Do you have that friend that makes you laugh the minute you see them? If not, I demand that you get one ASAP. Friends like these are priceless. They can help you laugh and we cannot laugh enough in life. 

#3 THE CARETAKER 

Do you have someone who will call you to see how you are doing after you had that dreadful cold last week? For many people, this is a family relative or a BFF. No matter who it is, we need people who make us stop and make sure we are taking the time to care for ourselves. You have to ALWAYS be your #1 advocate. 

#4 THE MOTIVATOR 

Do you have that person in your life that motivates you to be the BEST version of yourself? Maybe this a coach or a mentor for you. This person is BEYOND critical. We all have dreams but are we willing to do what it takes to make them come true? We all need motivation and support to get it done. 

#5 THE EYE OPENER 

I am in love with so many things. And, I can never get enough of innovation or creativity. Having people that I can bounce ideas off or hear what their plans is what keeps me up at night (with excitement and joy).  Can you name people that are expanding how you look at life? Especially your own? 

#6 THE HOMIE

I find that it is important to turn to people who make you feel like you are home outside of your home. You are comfortable. You can say what you want. Acting silly won’t make you blush. And, you feel free. You can never underestimate the value of having no limits. Hopefully, there are a several people in your life that fit the bill 🙂
