Dressing Room 8 Book Club August Meeting Recap

Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison by Piper Kerman is a memoir about her time in prison. In this book, she describes her experiences at Smith Correctional Facility in Connecticut for money laundering. She also shares information about what life was like before she went to prison and how her life changed forever. 

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about unique characters and their stories. Not only will you be entertained but you will begin to think about the prison system on a much deeper level.
